Rail Trail Project

To commemorate the 100 year anniversary of Rotary, the Los Banos Rotary Club purchased 100 trees and donated them to the Rail Trail project in the City of Los Banos. The project is an evolving park-like setting that spans two miles of what used to be a railroad line that traveled through town.

The property was purchased by the city and a grant was secured to create a Rail Trail complete with a walking/bicycle path, trees, benches, lights, etc.
Each tree was priced at $25, so the $2,500 project, in five to ten years will help provide shade for those walkers.
