Rotarians Fete Gustine Club

The Los Banos Rotary Club members were hosts at a dinner party Tuesday evening tendered to the Gustine Rotary Club. The dinner was the result of a recent attendance contest between the two clubs, which Gustine won with an average attendance for two months of over 99 per cent.

Atty. Fred Silveira of Merced was featured speaker of the evening and gave an illustrated travelogue of European countries he visited during the war years. He showed several hundred kodachrome slides taken in northern Africa, Egypt, Italy, France, England and Germany, which, together with his oral explanation of each, provided a highly interesting and educational evening.

Charlie Kaljian, president of the host club, presided at the meeting.
