District Governor Visits Rotary Club

Floyd O. Bohnett, of Santa Barbara, governor of District 158 of Rotary International, paid his official visit to the local club last week, conducting a conference session with all committee members Monday evening, and speaking at the club luncheon Tuesday noon. The conference, held at the Canal Farm Inn, was preceded by a dinner at Carlo's Villa.
In his talk at the luncheon, Bohnett emphasized the good work that Rotary is accomplishing throughout the world with its International Fellowship program, promotion of exchange students, and the close cooperation with affiliated Rotary clubs in more than 40 countries.
He also stressed community service, and admonished the members that a strong, continuing interest and association in local community affairs is the foundation of Rotary itself.
