Emory O'Banion Is Rotary Speaker

Emory O'Banion, Dos Palos district farmer who was recently elected to succeed veterans J. L. Toscano as county supervisor from this district, was guest speaker at the Rotary Club Tuesday noon, bringing an appreciation for the support received in this community, and an assurance that he would enter with the determination to do his job as thoroughly as humanly possible, and with absolute fairness and consideration to every section of the district.
He extended a sincere invitation, to local groups and individuals to seek his help and cooperation in any and all problems of county government and in return asked the public's cooperation and consideration.

O'Banion also expressed his appreciation is retiring supervisor Toscano for an invitation to attend the county budget hearings now being conducted at Merced. He plans to attend all budget sessions and stated the hearings are proving an excellent education to him and will be of great value to him next year.

In a brief question and answer session O'Banion said the district road building program will be handled on a fair and impartial basis. He said he had every confidence in the ability of County Road Commissioner Wm. McCanless, and will work with him to the common goal of providing the best road system possible with the funds available.
