Gladys Hannaford, Diamond Authority, To Speak At Rotary

Rotary Club will hold its Ladies Day luncheon next Tuesday noon, March 18 at the Recreation Center.

John B. Machado, president of the California Retail Jewelers Association will present Mrs. Gladys Babson Hannaford, gemologist of New York City, as guest speaker of the occasion.

Mrs. Hannaford is a recognized authority on diamonds. She is a trained speaker who knows diamonds as she has worked with cutters, wholesalers and retailers. She will inform her audience what they should know before buying a diamond. Knowing the diamond industry in America and diamonds in American industry, her talk will be a most interesting one on the gem of all gems.

Mrs. Hannaford has made the most intensive examination of the South African mines ever made by a woman and her work is recognized by leading authorities. She has lectured at many of the outstanding colleges, schools and clubs in the country.
