Lions And Rotary To Shoot It Out
Fifty members of the Los Banos Lions and Rotary Clubs will take their trusty scatter guns in hand and shoot it out this Sunday at the Los Banos Sportsmen's Club grounds. The shoot is a sort of grudge affair between the two clubs, created by a deep inferiority complex of the Rotarians as the result of a blue rock shoot between the two clubs several months ago. The Lions took the first event by a wide margin and, after taking possession of the trophy, have since made life sort of miserable for certain of the Rotary fraternity, who are out this Sunday to even the score.
Each club is supposed to field a team of 25 men, each man to shoot two rounds of 25 rocks Victory will be determined by the total score.
In addition to the two traps reserved for the tournament shooters, another trap will be available for public practice events. The shoot is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. Lunch and soft drinks will be available at the Sportsmen's Club refreshment stand.
The tournament shoot will begin at 9:00 o'clock.
