Planning Expert To Speak At School Board, Rotary Meets

Harvey Ferris of the State Bureau of School Planning at Sacramento will present an outline of the consultant services available from the State Department of Education and the procedures to be followed in school planning at a joint meeting of the board of trustees of the high school district and its Lay Advisory Committee Tuesday evening, August 28 at 8:00 p.m. at the high school library.

The board and lay committee emphasized this week that the meeting is open to the public because the two groups feel that the people of Los Banos will want to hear what steps will be necessary to help solve the present high school district problems.

Ferris' acceptance of the board's invitation to speak to the meeting was announced at a recent meeting of the committee chairmen of the Lay Advisory group by General Chairman Jess Telles. The group agreed to invite a representative of a university consultant team to speak at another joint meeting of the groups after Ferris' presentation of proposed solutions to the problem.

Ferris will also be principal speaker at the Rotary Club luncheon at Recreation hall Tuesday.
