Rotarians Enjoy "Kick-Out" Party

Rotarians this week moved away from their more or less formal Tuesday noon luncheon to enjoy a sumptuous steak dinner and "kick-out" festivities staged by incoming President Ed Evans and committee in honoring retiring President Otto R. Zentner. Rotarians Wm. Woo, Louie Castellucci and Abel Machado officiated at the portable barbecue pits.

In the informal post-dinner session Evans presented Zentner with an engraved pen and pencil desk set and other remembrances of his 12 months in office; and Zentner reciprocated with the presentation of a new Rotary gavel to replace one that mysteriously disappeared several months ago. No mention was made of the symbolic dinner gong that also mysteriously disappeared at the same time.

In a brief moment of routine business, President Evans outlined briefly some of his plans for the coming months, which includes an evening party early in September to welcome Los Banos high school teachers.
