Rotary Club To Fete Junior Exhibitors

The Rotary Club members will be hosts to some 250 local and visiting junior Fair exhibitors at a barbecue dinner to be served at Fairgrounds Park Saturday noon. The affair is an annual Rotary function and greatly enjoyed by the youthful exhibitors. Kenneth Anderson is chairman of the committee in charge.

New Rotary Head

M. D. "Buck" Wheat, local manager for Pacific Gas and Electric Co., has been chosen by the Rotary Club board of directors to serve as president of the local club for the first year beginning July 1. He will succeed Francis Buck, local Shell Oil Co. manager. Other officers selected at the directors' meeting were Chas. Alden, secretary; Ralph Cargile, treasurer; and Bill Woo, sergeant-at-arms.

At the annual election held at the club luncheon Tuesday of last week, the membership elected four directors, Geo. W. Nickel Jr., Louis Castellucci, O. D. Russell and Chas. W. Bates, to serve for a term of two years each. They will serve will present directors Gene Pappani and Rev. Robert Reis.
