Rotary Gang Hosts To Dos Palos Club
The Los Banos Rotary Club was host Tuesday evening to the Dos Palos club at a barbecue dinner party staged at the new dormitory building in Fairgrounds Park. Los Banos club president Francis Buck and Dos Palos president Dr. L. J. Bronstein jointly presided at the meeting, which was conducted on a pleasantly informal basis.
George Nickel Jr., chairman of the May Day Queen contest and challenger to both Dos Palos and Los Banos clubs that they stake a dinner on the results of the queen contest, spoke briefly to express his personal thanks and that of the May Day Assn. to both groups for their cooperation and support of the celebration. D. Oliver Germino, secretary of the Spring Fair and Livestock Show, also spoke briefly, conveying to the Dos Palos group the appreciation and thanks of Los Banos for their continuing support of both the celebration and livestock show.
