Rotary Golfers Play Tie Match

A quickly arranged match between the golfing members of the Los Banos, Firebaugh and Dos Palos Rotary Clubs was played at the Westside Club Sunday, with Los Banos and Firebaugh tied for first place with four points each. The Dos Palos players came in a poor third, Don Bourne being the only member to register a win.

For Los Banos, John Nickel, Wade Galloway, P. R. Roberts and Les Spindt won their matches; for Firebaugh it was Ted Parker, Ralph Stone, Marion Guyett and Dick Lehmann.

Parker was top winner of the ball sweepstakes event held in conjunction with the tournament, scoring a net 67. Galloway, Guyett and Carson Angle were all tied for second with a net 68; Lehmann came in with a 70; Castellucci, Spindt, Ed Eggleston, Bourne and Norval Davis were tied for sixth place with net 71s.
