Rotary, Lions To Dine Tuesday
The Rotary and Lions Clubs will break bread together at Fairgrounds Park next Tuesday at what the Lions members hope will be a Grade A steak barbecue dinner. The Rotarians, who are footing the bill, are hinting that the dinner may well be hot dogs and beans.
Reason for the affair, other than social is the payoff for a 6-game bowling match several weeks ago in which both clubs entered three 5-man teams. The Lions took the first encounter by a margin of 55 pins, lost the second series by 42 pins, giving them a total margin of victory of 13 points. Final tally was 12,496 to 12,483.
The dinner is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. Members of both clubs are requested to bring their own silverware.
Elge Mastrangelo and Paul Benz, are superintending the affair as chairmen of the Rotary committee.
