Trim Rotary In Bluerock Shoot
Although the crowd
of shooters was one-third of promised the Lions out shot the Rotary Club last
Sunday at the Sportsmen’s grounds by a margin of 79 rocks.
Of
the 1300 rocks fired at by 13 members of each club, the Lions broke 497 as against
418 for the Rotary gang.
Ray McCauley of the Lions was high with 50
straight, Jimmie Soper second with a 47, and Wesley Ashley low with a 23.
For the Rotarians Buck Wheat was high with 40 out of a possible 50, Fred
Lorensen and President Lindemann tied for second with 38, and Newt Olson also
shot—mussing up only 5.
It is hoped to hold another contest in
the fall when more shooters may be available.
