Rotarians Have Quiz Program

As a group, members of the Los Banos Rotary Club wouldn’t show up too well on a radio quiz program – at least on subjects pertaining to their monthly magazine, The Rotarian.

In a 20-question quiz conducted at the club luncheon Tuesday by club secretary Chas. Alden, only three Rotarians, Dr. Paul Sutton, Mike Dambroslo and Abel P. Machado, came up with the right answers. All questions pertained to topics from the current issue of the magazine.

Failure to answer a given question resulted in a 50c fine while secretary Alden was committed to contribute 25c to the collection box for each right answer. Individuals participating in the program were chosen by lot.

Alden himself proved to be of ordinary “run of the mill” caliber when in a surprise post script to the program. Rotary President Chas. Kaljian came up with a question for the questioner which netted another four bit piece for the charity fund.
